Melania Trump released her new anti-bullying campaign ‘Be Best.’ The mainstream media immediately attacked her and bullied her. One writer Anna Massoglia tried accusing Melania of plagiarism.
“The *new* White House “Talking with Kids about Being Online” booklet hyped as “a booklet by First Lady Melania Trump and the Federal Trade Commission” is almost identical to a booklet released by the Obama admin https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Talking-with-kids-about-being-online-_2018.pdf … Obama FTC 2014: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/pdf-0001-netcetera.pdf,” tweets Massoglia.
However, Melania’s communications director Stephanie Grisham responded to the haters. “After giving a strong speech that was met with a standing ovation and positive feedback, the focus from opposition media has been on an educational booklet, “Talking with Kids About Being Online” produced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in 2009,” explained Grisham.
“Mrs. Trump agreed to add Be Best branding and distribute the booklet in an effort to use her platform to amplify the positive message within,” explained Grisham.
“Outlets with ample background, information and on-the-record comments from the FTC, some media have chosen to take a day meant to promote kindness and positive efforts on behalf of children, to instead lob baseless accusations towards the First Lady and her new initiatives,” explained Grisham. The media could have done basic research before insulting Melania. Maybe those networks are the ones who need to be reading that pamphlet.
